Vital allows you to log self-reported information across the following categories:

From this information, the app generates scores, streaks, milestones, progress views, and a personalized plan.
1.3 Account and technical data
When you sign in or use paid features, we may process:
- Firebase authentication identifiers
- Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In account information made available to us
- Subscription or paywall-related status information
- App settings such as appearance mode, reminder time, and water unit preference
If you contact support, the support email flow may include device and app details such as:
- App version
- Platform
- OS version
- Device model
- Sign-in method
- Your user ID and email address
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the app
- Authenticate your account
- Save and sync your profile, settings, goals, milestones, and check-ins
- Calculate daily and cumulative health scores
- Personalize your in-app plan and progress views

3. How Data Is Stored
3.1 Local storage
Vital stores much of your data locally on your device, including habit check-ins, drafts, notes, settings, and progress history.
3.2 Cloud sync for signed-in users
If you sign in, Vital may sync certain data to our backend services, including:
- Profile information
- Onboarding information
- Settings
- Goals and milestones
- Daily check-in records
- Baseline score information
This sync is used so your account data can persist across sessions and devices.
4. Permissions
Vital may request access to:
- Notifications: to schedule daily reminder notifications on your device
Vital does not request HealthKit or Google Fit permissions.
5. Third-Party Services
Vital uses third-party services to operate parts of the app:
- Firebase Authentication and Firestore, for authentication and data storage
- Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In, if you choose those login methods
- Superwall, to present paywalls and manage subscription-related access on supported native platforms
- Apple App Store and/or Google Play, for in-app subscription billing where applicable
These third parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not represent Vital as a medical diagnosis, treatment, or monitoring service.
7. Data Retention
Data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, uninstall the app, or sign out and clear local app data.
For signed-in users, server-side account and app data may remain in our systems until it is deleted, subject to operational, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Control notification permissions through your device settings
- Edit certain profile and app settings inside the app
- Sign out of your account
- Delete local app data by uninstalling the app
- Request deletion of server-side account data by contacting us at support@vitalhealthtracker.com
If an in-app account deletion workflow is not available on your device or version of the app, you can still contact us directly to request deletion.
9. Children
Vital is not intended to circumvent parental or legal consent requirements. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction, please use the app only with parent or guardian permission.
